What data could have value?
Operational email and documents, project and support records, source code, engineering designs and connected work histories can be relevant. We assess the specific records, available rights and buyer requirements; storage size alone does not establish value.
Can this sit alongside the existing business or asset sale?
Potentially. We review the proposed data scope against your sale process, existing commitments and any exclusivity or transfer restrictions. A separate licence must not conflict with the agreed transaction.
Is the assessment a formal valuation or a buyer offer?
No. It helps identify the assets, gaps and potential buyer fit. Any estimate is indicative. If you appoint us, we seek buyer indications or offers against the agreed scope. No proceeds are guaranteed.
What if the business has already closed?
Retained records may still be relevant. We first check access, available history, ownership and restrictions. Flag account shutdowns, deletion dates and the availability of former staff.
Who decides what may be shared or licensed?
The person with the relevant authority, with legal advice and any required court or stakeholder approvals. Discovery, sampling, extraction and buyer disclosure are separate decisions. We work to the agreed written scope.
What does my team need to do?
Share a short company overview, known systems and deadlines, and nominate a contact. We agree any further information, IT input or access required before deeper work. You review the scope and commercial terms; we coordinate the agreed data work.
Do we need to install the extension to start?
No. Request an assisted assessment now. Our browser extension is awaiting Chrome Web Store approval. It provides a separate route to a local estimate; installation is not required to start a conversation or use our assisted service.
